Description

A beautiful salmon pink wine in your glass. In the nose, a beautiful array of different scents such as fresh blackcurrants, strawberries, raspberries, citrus, cherries, and also a hint of tropical fruit. On the palate, this rosé is very elegant, smooth, and above all very fruity. In the finish, peaches and wild strawberries come forward. In short, an ideal spring/summer rosé. Not too complex and simply delicious with good value for money in a nice bottle.

A 'Marcel' is French for a tank top. Just like the tank top, Le Marcel Gris de Gris Rosé from Domaines Paul Mas is relaxed, straightforward, and summery. Each bottle of Le Marcel has a label in the shape of a tank top. Mr. Mas has designed six different tank tops for this rosé, including a Californian Sunset model, a Tie-Dye, and a beautiful variant with sailor stripes. All with a summery look just like how the rosé is obtained.
Each box contains a random mix of marcelles. How splendid is that!

Les Domaines Paul Mas are led by Jean Claude Mas, son of founder Paul Mas. They own a total of 700 hectares of vineyards in Languedoc, in the south of France, with another 1200 hectares under contract. The vineyards are located near the sea. They are planted with Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carignan, and Cinsault for red and rosé wines. For white wines, Jean Claude has planted Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Each wine has its own identity and brings out the best of the terroir. The philosophy of the Paul Mas house aims to preserve the typicity of the soil and grape variety, while presenting a wine that meets the expectations of today's wine lovers: plenty of fruit, concentration, color, aroma, and flavor.
Languedoc-Roussillon was the first region in France to be planted with vines by the Romans when they first arrived in the country. Old bush vines scattered throughout the region produce wines with concentration and depth, which can age for many years, while vineyards along the coast produce beautiful fresh and sweet white wines and rosés, perfect for long summer evenings.
