Description

This is a deep ruby red wine with violet hues. The nose is full of aromas of rich ripe red and black fruit with a hint of violet flowers. On the palate, it has a firm start full of character, where blackberries and blueberries dominate again. You also get strawberry, a touch of toast, meaty, spicy notes, and a lot of concentration—very delicious. The tannins are certainly present but mild and beautifully integrated, making it a lovely wine. Almost like a Neropasso.
4/5 on Vivino

Serve with:
With a pleasant and dry taste, it pairs perfectly with game, grilled red meat, and appetizers with rich and important sauces. It goes well with roasted rabbit, moussaka, and highly aromatic dishes. Serve at 18 degrees.

Storage:
This wine can still be stored for a while but is definitely ready to drink now!

Additional Information:
Vicari is a historical family from the town of Morro D'Alba, connected to viticulture for centuries.
A series of fortunate coincidences made it possible, through notarial deeds, cadastres, and various municipal documents preserved in the municipal archives, to trace an ancestor of the current Vicari family, Francino de Rigo, who was present in Morro in the last decade of the 15th century.
Thus began a long search into these documents, lasting 3 years, which allowed the reconstruction of the Vicari family tree and the writing of the book, "The Vicars - Moments of country life in Morro d'Alba - 15th-21st century", powerfully conveying the family's bond with the land and their tradition.
The company today
The Vicari agricultural company is a small family business consisting of Nazzareno and his two children, Vico and Valentina, located in Morro D'Alba.
The Vicari were known as "those of the good well" because in their district there was, and still exists, a large well from which all the inhabitants of Morro D'Alba drew drinking water.
Today, in every bottle and on every label, we remember this story, encapsulated in the script that characterizes all the "Del Pozzo Buono" wines, and in the company logo, which is a stylized representation of the old form of the large historical well.

This wine is made from the native Lacrima di Morro d'Alba grape. Lacrima means the wine that "weeps." A rare grape.
