This wine is characterized by its intensely fruity character of ripe yellow apple and a spicy hint of pepper. In addition, you will also find exotic fruit and melon in the aroma. On the palate, the aromas are beautifully expressed and you’ll also notice a slight minerality, which comes purely from the terroir. It reflects the perfect combination of terroir and grape variety. A truly refined tasting pleasure at a high level.

Serving suggestions:
A perfect wine for shellfish and crustaceans (lobster, langoustines, ...). Cold fish platters and grilled fish. Also pairs well with soft cheeses and raclette.
In addition to all this, it also goes very well with veal and turkey. Personally, I love enjoying this on a summer evening with a bite of sushi.
Storage:
This wine is already delicious now, but it can also be aged for about 8 years. It may last even longer, depending on the cellar conditions and vintage.
Additional information:
Made from 100% Grüner Veltliner sourced from the vineyards on the Schafflerberg, one of the highest vineyards in Fels (280–300m). For this wine, the grapes are harvested as late as possible to achieve high aromatic intensity. The wine is fermented with natural yeast in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After about 5 weeks, it is transferred to another tank with fine lees to preserve the primary fruit character.
Only hand-picked, healthy grapes without botrytis from the second harvest round are used for this wine. After about 12 hours of destemming and skin contact, pressing is done using a pneumatic press. The juice is then allowed to settle for around 12 hours; only the clear juice is used for fermentation, which takes place with natural yeast in neutral acacia barrels with temperature control as well as in stainless steel tanks. Both parts are racked after about 5 weeks to preserve the primary fruit. The wine remains on fine lees until bottling to develop a layered and complex aroma, driven by the individuality of the Schafflerberg terroir.
