Description
An elegant ruby-red wine from Wente Riva Ranch Pinot Noir, refined and beautifully expressive. The nose reveals inviting aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries and wild strawberries, delicately layered with floral hints and a touch of clove. Subtle notes of lightly toasted oak, vanilla and a hint of cocoa add depth and sophistication.
On the palate, it is silky and harmonious, offering a vibrant freshness and finely integrated supple tannins. The balance between fruit, elegance and gentle spice is beautifully achieved, leading to a long, juicy and refined fruit-driven finish. A truly stylish Pinot Noir combining finesse and character.
Serving suggestion:
Delicious with duck breast, veal medallions, roasted chicken with thyme or a creamy mushroom risotto. Also pairs beautifully with soft cheeses such as brie or camembert.
Cellaring:
Enjoyable now, yet capable of graceful ageing for 5 to 8 years.
Additional information:
Fermentation and ageing:
The grapes are carefully selected and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks to preserve fruit purity. The wine is then aged for approximately 10 months in French and American oak barrels, adding structure and subtle spice without overpowering the delicate Pinot Noir character.
Origin:
Riva Ranch vineyard is located in the Arroyo Seco AVA in Monterey County, where cool ocean influences and well-drained, stony soils allow for long, even ripening. The result is a Pinot Noir with lively acidity and refined aromatic expression.
