Description

A beautiful light yellow golden wine from the Douro region, Portugal. We have a complex nose with wood, citrus fruits, exotic fruit, nutty scents, and plenty of floral notes. In the nose, a round yet complex wine with primarily wood notes from aging partly in French oak barrels and also through skin contact, yielding many floral and mineral aromas. A wine that will certainly find a place on a table of wine connoisseurs or enthusiasts! Made from Viosinho, Arinto, Gouveio, Rabigato.

Serving with:
Excellent with oven-baked fish dishes and white meats with butter and/or cream-based sauces. Also pairs very well with seafood as well as a variety of oriental cuisine. Best served at a temperature between 10 ° and 12 ° C.
Storage:
This wine can certainly spend about 5 years in the cellar, but this wine is not made to age.

Extra information:
This wine comes from Cima Corgo and some very old adjacent vineyards planted at high altitudes with exposure to the south.
The Douro Valley is one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world and is recognized as a UNESCO heritage site. Vallegre is a young and dynamic company that produces both Port wines and regular wines on various estates along the Douro. All vineyards are located on the right bank near the town of Pinhão. This Vallegre Branco is made from local grape varieties, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão. Unknown to most of us, but that's what gives Portuguese wines an original touch. After fermentation, the wine ages for another 9 months in French oak barrels, with regular plunging of the skins into the juice (remontage) to give the wine a full flavor.
From Quinta da Vista Alegre, Cima Corgo, where few vineyards are more than 80 years old, planted on old platforms predominantly exposed to the south, and other vineyards, 25 years old, on new platforms mainly exposed to the east.
Hand-picked and transported in small crates with careful grape selection. Total destemming, fermentation with moderate temperature control in stainless steel tanks with daily pumping over (remontage) and long maceration after fermentation.
