Description

In the glass, you get the typical ochre-colored red wine that is so typical for a Barolo. Intense aroma with notes of ripe fruit, flower petals, coffee, leather, plums. Additionally, this wine has light smoky tones. In the mouth, it has a firm, leathery texture and lots of fruit. Persistent taste thanks to fine and enveloping tannins that give an elegant pleasantness.
The Nebbiolo grape is used here in monovarietal. The finish is long and ensures that you continue to taste different flavors. Has achieved several good scores, see below.

Serve with:
This wine pairs perfectly with game, duck breast, rack of lamb, ribeye steak, .... Open this wine preferably one and a half hours before serving. Decanting this wine is definitely recommended! Serve at 17°C.

Cellaring:
It is now perfectly drinkable if you prefer an intense wine, but this wine can certainly be stored for 15 years.
The wine will also further evolve with scents such as toast, cedar, vanilla, mushroom, ... becoming more prominent.
This Barolo can therefore continue to mature but is not intended for very long-term aging.

Extra information:

Since 1973: Mauro Molino graduates from the Oenological School of Alba and begins to fulfill his great dream: to make oenology his greatest passion, his profession.

1973: after his military service, Mauro's dream is not weakened at all, but his country is not yet ready to offer him his big chance. And so, in 1975, he bravely moved to Emilia Romagna to work as an oenologist for the wine group CIV in Modena. Mauro remained in Emilia until 1979, five years that were of fundamental importance for his education and professional experience.

1979: after the death of his father Giuseppe, Mauro returns to the Langhe of his origins. His father has left him some vineyards as inheritance, and he sees this as a great opportunity to learn more about oenology in the land he has never forgotten and always loved. He began working as a freelancer in the agricultural consortia of the area, and meanwhile, he dedicated himself to the first renovation of the vineyards and the cellar that was built in Annunziata di La Morra, where his father's house is located.

1982: produces his first Barolo, that of Vigneto Conca. From here, Mauro Molino's wine adventure begins. Mauro will increasingly understand how lucky it is to be able to work in a unique area in the world, that of Barolo. He will fall more and more in love with the typical grape varieties of this area and in particular with Nebbiolo. He will start producing three of his main crus in the municipality of La Morra: Barolo Conca, Barolo Gancia, and Barolo Gallinotto.
