The Château Lamartine is located at the westernmost end of the Cahors Appellation, on the oldest terraces of the Lot Valley. On these clay and limestone terroirs, the 37 hectares face south, guaranteeing perfect ripening for the Malbec.
For four generations, the Gayraud family has devoted the utmost care to winemaking. This is the key to achieving a pure expression of the terroirs. In 2016, Alain and Brigitte passed the torch to their children.

A gorgeous dark red wine with purple tones. Beautiful complex aromas greet you on the nose, such as roasted nuts, oak, ripe black fruit, and soft gingerbread. In the mouth, you encounter a powerful wine with a hint of chocolate. The tannins are beautifully integrated, and the finish is lightly spicy and very long. This wine receives wonderful reviews and is a seriously good (and better) alternative to a Haut-Médoc. Top Malbec wine with 10% Tannat.
