Fantastic deep yellow color in your glass. On the nose, you will discover aromas of lemon peel, lime, orange zest, peach, apple, apricot, white chocolate, butter, vanilla, spices, minerals, honey, acacia blossom, saffron, wood... complex to say the least! On the palate, this wine has a very rich and creamy attack, yet it remains fresh with its firm acidity that forms its backbone. You get a full range of all the above aromas with deep minerality and a very, very long finish, pure enjoyment!

Extra information:
Domaine LATOUR-GIRAUD is located in Meursault, in the most popular region of Burgundy, known for the Great White Wines of the Côte de Beaune. It specializes in white wines, which represent 85% of its production.
The history of Domaine LATOUR-GIRAUD spans three centuries and dates back to the late 17th century. The earliest known ancestor is Jean Latour-Boillot, born around 1680. The vineyard was already the primary source of income at that time. The continuous presence of the Latour family on the vineyard is evident during the French Revolution, represented by Jean Latour-Mouquin, born in 1748 and grandson of Jean Latour-Boillot.
The Giraud family, also long established in Côte d'Or, had set up a distillery in the Meursault hospital around 1845. This distillery was active until 1914, producing Fine de Bourgogne, Marc de Bourgogne, and later the famous Cassis de Bourgogne. The union of the two families occurred in 1958, following the marriage of their children.
Today, the Domaine is run by Jean-Pierre LATOUR, responsible for wine production, vinification, aging, and marketing, with the assistance of his wife Christine, who handles the administrative side.

The vineyard of Domaine LATOUR-GIRAUD covers about ten hectares and produces only Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée wines, of which about 85% are white wines and 15% are red.
Most of the white vines are located in the five 1er Cru appellations of Meursault: Les Genevrières, Les Charmes, Les Perrières, Les Bouchères, and Le Poruzot.
With 2.5 ha in Meursault Genevrières, Domaine LATOUR-GIRAUD is the largest owner of this beautiful 1er Cru. It also owns a 1er Cru parcel on the northern edge of Puligny-Montrachet, in the Champs-Canet climate. The range is completed by parcels in the Meursault appellation such as Le Limozin, Les Narvaux, and Clos du Cromin.
The Domaine wanted to create its own vintage representing the Meursault appellation as a whole by combining various terroirs such as Les Vireuils, Les Pelles, Les Corbins, and Le Carrouge, and naming it after its two grandfathers: Charles Giraud and Maxime Latour.
The Domaine also owns a plot located in the Burgundy appellation area, producing a Chardonnay characterized by the village of origin.
In red, the Domaine is much smaller but very well located, as all the parcels are classified as Premier Cru. The Domaine owns Pommard, Pommard Refène 1er Cru, Volnay Clos des Chênes 1er Cru, Meursault Caillerets 1er Cru.
The vineyard has 2.5 hectares of premier cru grapes, making it the largest plot of Burgundy's premier cru grapes, with the best selected for this wine.
PS: If you want to open a bottle from 2005 now, it will cost you 250 euros.
