Description

This wine is a real gem! An intense, ruby-red color. Deep aromas of blackcurrants, plums, and blackberries. A pleasantly present but never overpowering hint of oak combined with medium-high soft tannins. After a few years in the cellar, more spicy notes and impressions of cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, and leather will appear. This wine has a deliciously impressively long and lightly mineral finish. A true festive wine and perfect with meat dishes.

This was the second best-selling wine of the 2025 autumn tasting and is praised internationally. Vivino’s score of 4.3 based on 1977 reviews supports its high popularity.

Food pairing

Aged or savory meats such as Rubia Gallega, Black Aberdeen, Hereford, etc., but also various types of game like hind, roe deer, and wild boar. Also delicious with strong-flavored cheeses. Recommended serving temperature: 14–16°C.

Aging potential

This wine can easily be stored for at least 10 years. It becomes slightly softer and fuller, though it is recommended to drink it 4–5 years after bottling.

Climate:
Dry, warm summers. Winters can sometimes be very cold with significant snowfall. The nearby mountains regulate temperatures and bring coolness in summer while keeping the soil warmer in winter.
Soil:
A total of 17 ha of vineyards formed by a series of hills with a minimum altitude of 300m. Located in the Vardar Valley. Southern exposure. Poor sandy soils with limestone in the subsoil and pebbles in the top layer.
Vinification:
Merlot (43%), Vranec (38%) and Cabernet Franc (19%) are hand-picked and fermented separately. The final blend is then created and the wine matures for another 22 months in a mix of new and used French and American oak barrels.
