Description

A green-yellow wine with a crystal-clear shine. On the nose, we find elegant aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, acacia blossom, and a subtle smoky touch. On the palate, you taste a full-bodied, fresh wine with a complex structure, gentle minerality, and a harmonious finish. The wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, aged for 6 months in new French barrels, using the sur lie method, which provides depth and finesse.

Food pairing

An excellent companion to fresh sea fish, smoked salmon, green salads, and chicken dishes. Wonderful with a refined lunch or as a gastronomic aperitif. Serve at 12°C.

Aging potential

This wine can be stored for around 10 years. It becomes slightly softer and fuller, though it is recommended to drink it 4–5 years after bottling.

The most awarded Macedonian winery. Winners at the “Decanter World Wine Awards 2013” of the “Gold Medal and Regional Trophy for Best Red Wine in Central and Eastern Europe.” Founded in 2004 with the planting of its first vines, Kamnik had its first harvest in 2008 and its first awards in 2009. In 2014, the production capacity increased to 120,000 liters. Kamnik expresses the grandeur of ancient Macedonian traditions, culture, and soil in a truly contemporary style. Blending past and future, traditions and state-of-the-art techniques, nature and science challenges us with the most captivating wine flavors. The winery’s objectives and vision focus on preserving historical and traditional values, adapting them to the demands of the modern fine wine market, while exploring the possibilities offered by advanced technological applications.

Climate: The vineyards, located by the Vardar River in the Skopje wine district, stretch across hills at a minimum of 300 m above sea level, with a southern exposure. The surrounding mountains create an excellent microclimate. The mountain airflows circulating in this area effectively reduce summer evening temperatures and keep the soil warm in winter. The vines are planted at a density of 5,500 plants per hectare and pruned using the Guyot method.

Soil: The moderately fertile soil has a good composition and a rich mineral structure.

Vinification: The pneumatic punch-down system ensures exceptional color extraction with very fine tannins while preserving all aromatic compounds. The aging process is conducted under strictly controlled temperature and humidity conditions. Aged for 10 months in new French and American oak barrels.
