Description

In your glass, you have a light yellow cava with fine and continuous effervescence, forming a perfect crown. On the nose, you'll detect sweet notes of vanilla and fruits such as peach and grapefruit, with hints of pastry and yeast accompanied by a background of honey. In the mouth, you experience a fruity and harmonious ensemble that feels soft and delicate. This is a high-quality Cava that comes close to Champagne without the hefty price tag. Definitely worth a try! This Cava has aged on lees for 24 to 30 months, similar to a good Champagne. 89 pt Robert Parker

TRADITION AND MODERNITY:

The Mont Marçal Vinícola winery was founded in 1975 by Manuel Sancho, who, after dedicating himself to the world of music for many years, turned to a new art: the world of wine and cava. In 2015, Mont Marçal became part of the Bardinet group.
The new management succeeds in uniting the winery's original philosophy with the enthusiasm of the new generations to adapt it to current market needs in all aspects.

Mont Marçal produces quality wines under the protection of the Penedès, Catalunya, and Cava Designations of Origin.

HISTORICAL MANOR

The beautiful manor, dating back to the 14th century, which houses the winery is located in the heart of the Penedès region, 220 meters above sea level.

The basilical-shaped building uses bricks for window frames and the separation between floors, giving it a unique character.

In the late 19th century, it was converted into a monastery of the Barefoot Carmelites, and it has retained the charm of the original structure.

EXTENSIVE VINEYARDS

The estate covers 40 hectares of its own vineyards with native varieties such as Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Parellada, and Tempranillo, and other perfectly adapted varieties such as Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

To achieve the current production volume, the company also collaborates with other estates in the Penedès region.

Mont Marçal employs the most advanced technological means to optimize production at all stages as well as the final quality of the products.
