Description

A splendid, high-quality Chianti Classico made from 100% Sangiovese. The wine has a beautiful dark ruby-red color. On the nose, there are scents of black cherry, tobacco, violets, plums, light aging (cedarwood), raspberries, and chocolate. In the mouth, you taste an extremely elegant and refined wine. It has a long finish with juicy red berries, and a slight mineral touch at the end. If you let it age a bit longer (up to 10 years), you may also discover hints of mushrooms. In any case, you can taste the love of the winemaker in crafting this very good traditional Chianti.

Serve with:
Querciabella Chianti Classico is a perfect food wine. Sangiovese practically begs for anything with tomato sauce, and the natural pairing with Tuscan regional dishes is, of course, "Pappa al Pomodoro." A heartier option is to pair this full-bodied wine with a dish that can withstand its great structure and complexity, such as Spaghetti with Lentil Bolognese or, for a spicy twist, a Bean and Lentil Chili. A good barbecue with lots of red meat (no dark roasted pieces). Serve at 17°C.

Aging:
It is ready to drink now but will certainly keep for at least 10 years. Depending on the vintage and conditions, this Chianti can age even longer. Always a tip to open one now and then and taste. How do you know if you can keep it longer? Come here for a course.

Additional Information:
