Description

An intense deep violet-red color in the glass. The nose is dominated by cherries, oak, blackberry, licorice, pepper, tobacco, leather, and more. On the palate, stunning flavors of ripe red fruit, vanilla, chocolate, and licorice emerge. This wine has a beautifully elegant structure with soft yet powerful tannins. The finish is very long, where the fruit and finesse linger. This is completely different from the typical very heavy Malbec from Argentina. No less than 38,000 people on Vivino give this wine an average score of 4.2 out of 5, with some vintages reaching 4.5.

 4.3/5 Vivino

Rutini Wines is a well-known winery in Argentina, founded in 1885 by Italian immigrant Felipe Rutini. The winery is located in the Uco Valley, Mendoza wine region, and produces a wide range of wines, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Rutini Wines is known for its high-quality wines and innovative production methods. It was one of the first wineries in Argentina to use stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels for winemaking. The winery has also received multiple awards, including "Best Argentine Wine Producer" at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

In 1925, Rutini Wines introduced the first Argentine Malbec wine, which quickly became popular and is now one of Argentina's signature wines. Since then, the winery has produced many other award-winning wines and is one of the most respected and celebrated wine producers in Argentina.

This wine is made from 100% Malbec. It has aged for 12 months: 40% in new French oak and 60% in second-use French oak.
