Description

In the glass, this white wine from Prunotto offers aromas of acacia, orange blossom, cherry blossom, honeysuckle, and lime, complemented by other fruity nuances. Moscato d'Asti can be described as exceptionally fruity and velvety soft, as the wine has a pleasantly sweet aromatic profile. On the palate, the texture of this light white wine is delightfully light, melting, and creamy. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, Moscato d'Asti presents itself with a soft taste, yet it does not lack freshness. In the finish, this young wine from the Piemonte wine region surprises with remarkable length. Here, too, notes of lime and orange blossom are perceptible. The aftertaste combines mineral notes from soils dominated by marl and clay. This sparkling wine is semi-sweet due to its natural residual sugars. As a result, this bubbly wine contains only 5% alcohol.
 4/5 on Vivino

Serving:
Serve between 8-10° Celsius. It is a perfect pairing wine for elderflower yogurt ice cream with lemon balm, a peach-passion fruit dessert, or a yogurt mousse with poppy seeds. This wine can be stored for about five years.

Additional information:

This wine is clearly made from just one grape variety: Gelber Muskateller or Moscato Bianco. For this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Prunotto, only the best grapes are harvested. In Piemonte, the grapes grow under optimal conditions. Here, the vines take deep root in soils of limestone, clay, and marl. When the grapes for Moscato d'Asti reach optimal ripeness, they are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of rough and less selective pickers. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the cellar, where they are carefully selected and sorted. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine matures on fine lees for several months before being finally racked.
