A gorgeous dry Crémant from Burgundy that can certainly compete with Champagne! It has a golden color and a very nice effervescence. Aromas of yellow fruit, yeast, brioche, and toffee. The palate is intensely full with ripe fruit and flowers. Additionally, this crémant has sufficient acidity to give it a powerful and long finish. A gem because it is better than an entry-level Champagne!
Serving:
Ideal aperitif but also perfect for serving during a festive meal. Serve at 10 degrees Celsius. Can be stored for a few years in good conditions.

History: François Martenot House located in the heart of Burgundy has existed since the 19th century, famous for its origin under the name Clos de Vougeot, owned by Léonce Bocquet. The most charismatic member of the family served for Napoleon and was rewarded for his courage and patriotism.
Location: Maison François Martenot is very close to the Beaune region, the capital of Burgundy wines, in the heart of one of the most beautiful vineyards in France. Between Auxerre and Macon, Burgundy proudly offers some of the most prestigious AOPs in the world.
Maison François Martenot was founded at the beginning of the 20th century when Lucien Gustave Martenot bought an estate of 10 hectares in Savigny-lès-Beaune. This estate was created in 1859 by Léonce Becket, at that time the sole owner of Château du Clos Vougeot and a fervent advocate of Burgundy and its cultural heritage. The estate further developed with the acquisition of adjacent land, and much work was done to plant vines. In July 1922, Lucien Gustave Martenot bought the estate to make it a major Burgundy winery. After his death, his daughter, Charlotte Martenot, took over the leadership of the company, and the reputation continued to grow. And so, Maison François Martenot, a worthy heir of its illustrious founders, has continued to grow through the generations to establish its name on some quite unique wines.
By drawing on the experience built up by generations of passionate winemakers, Maison François Martenot continues to evolve and now offers vintage Crémants de Bourgogne.
