Description

A light golden color in the glass. On the nose, a lush bouquet of honeysuckle, rose petals, and a vibrant mix of citrus, apricot, and grapefruit. The taste is fresh with a zesty start, juicy white fruit, floral notes, and an aromatic, dry finish full of tension and minerality. This winery dates back to 1831 and produces wine at an altitude of 2,300 meters.
This was the best-selling wine during the Spring Tasting of 2025.

Vivino rating  4/5 on Vivino

Serving suggestions:
Ideal as an aromatic aperitif, but also a great match with light salads with citrus vinaigrette, ceviche, Asian dishes, or grilled zucchini/asparagus, whether on the BBQ or not.
Highly recommended with asparagus à la flamande.

Storage:
This wine is ready to drink now. However, Torrontés can be aged for a few more years, although it will lose some of its freshness. Some people prefer that.

Additional Information:

Tucked away in a remote corner of the Calchaquí Valleys, one of the most stunning landscapes in Argentina, lies one of the highest vineyards in the world: Bodega Colomé, founded in 1831.

History:
Bodega Colomé was founded in 1831 and has been a pioneer in high-altitude viticulture for over 180 years. We are proud to be Argentina's oldest winery.
In 1998, Donald Hess embarked on an epic journey in search of South America’s finest wines. He first explored Chile and then Mendoza in Argentina, but still hadn’t found the special grape he was searching for. Upon arriving in the northern Argentine province of Salta, Donald was inspired by the radiant sunlight and outstanding terroir, sparking his vision to create a new category of wine: high-altitude wines.

In the high desert at 2,600 meters, Donald discovered the 'El Arenal vineyard', and two years later expanded to Colomé at 2,300 meters, home to the oldest continuously producing winery in Argentina (since 1831). Today, we continue the tradition of producing rare, small-batch wines using sustainable methods in a pristine microclimate. Colomé is home to some of the oldest continuously producing vines in the world.

Social Responsibility & Sustainability:
Colomé has deep respect for the people, the land, and the culture — for everything that came before and all that is yet to come. Preserving our natural resources through sustainable practices is essential for the long-term viability of all our activities.

Our Team:
At Colomé, we are one large extended family. Though we come from different cultures and backgrounds, regardless of our expertise, we all share the same dream and live this adventure together.
