Description

The aromas of this Furmint wine are pleasantly intense. They manifest in a bouquet of ripe stone fruit, exotic fruit, nuts, and provide a subtle hint of toasted bread. Thanks to its light acidity and minerals, this wine is beautifully balanced. It is delightful to drink when young but also has significant aging potential
Furmint is a typical Hungarian grape variety that produces splendid dry white wines, just like this Hétszölö Tokaji.

Serving with:
This is a fantastic wine with grilled fish, as well as with vegetables and salads. It's also a splendid choice for the aperitif, and certainly pairs well with snacks.

Storage:
It is ready to drink now but can still be stored for 5-10years. This wine will continue to develop in the bottle.

Additional Information:

Mysterious Tokaj Mountain... viewed from above, it rises above the autumn mist, its slopes glistening with golden vines, and its peak overlooking the vast Hungarian plain to the distant southern horizon. In clear weather, you can even see Slovakia and Ukraine. The undisputed king of Hungarian vineyards, Mount Tokaj, is located in the northern part of the country, 230 km east of Budapest. This legendary place produces exceptional wines, served at the court of Louis XIV, who said of Tokaj, it is the "King of Wines and the Wine of Kings."

“7 vineyard plots” = Hét-szőlő
In every crown, there is a jewel. On the south side of Mount Tokaj, the imperial estate Tokaj-Hétszőlő possesses the most fertile land and the finest vines, and since 1502, nature has been more generous with its fruits here than anywhere else. The establishment of the estate is not due to chance: the Garai family simply selected the best 7 plots of the Tokaj mountain, hence the name: Hét-Szőlő means "7 vineyard plots" in Hungarian.

The unique style of Hétszőlő wines
Nature conspired to reunite all the conditions on the Tokaj-Hétszőlő estate necessary for the coveted Botrytis cinerea to flourish - the land is a true treasure trove. But when it comes to wine, you can never take anything for granted. Inspired by the mysterious forces of a single location, men have tried to harness their expertise to promote this unique gift, make uncompromising decisions, and control yields in a constant quest for ultimate quality.

For a long time, the glistening color of the Tokaj-Hétszőlő Aszú was thought to be a sign of gold... Alchemists even investigated this strange phenomenon but could find no explanation. One thing is certain: the peculiarities of the Hétszőlő terroir produce wines of great harmony and incomparable complexity, imbued with the softness and aroma characteristic of loess soils.
